Schools shut. Government buildings closed. Events cancelled. Due to the sensible precautions being taken to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, many people are finding much more time on their hands. And since we are unable to gather with you in person, the Regency Society of Virginia is hoping to take advantage of the technology that allows us to gather online by proposing....A CONTEST!
Use those extra days off and that fabric stash to create a reticule in keeping with the theme, "hibernation." You may interpret that word in whatever way you please--and we encourage you to be creative!--and submit up to three pictures of your hibernation-inspired reticule to us at firstname.lastname@example.org by May 1, 2020. We will be posting all submissions online and the winners will be chosen by vote. And, yes! Prizes (a selection from one of three late 18th-/early 19th century prints) will be awarded! Visit our "event" listing for more details!
